gardner

Nearly everyone who’s into mathematics, and especially recreational mathematics (and face it, most puzzlers would be), has encountered and admired Martin Gardner’s work. Along with things like hexaflexagons, tangrams, Conway’s game of life, and M.C. Escher’s art, one of the things that he popularised is polyominoes. I have a soft spot for pentominoes in particular.
